Works perfectMay 22, 2012
By Khalid Mundwiller
THIS PRODUCT IS NOT MEANT TO PLUG IN ALL THE SYSTEMS AT THE SAME TIME. Some other reviews have given low scores because they thought all three systems could be hooked up at the same time. That is not the correct usage of this product. This is simply a regular AV replacemnet that has three different ends on it. Works great when used correctly.

Works as expectedJun 06, 2013

Works perfect as an S-Video cable for my N64 on a 720p LCD TV. Pixels are now sharp enough that I can clearly see the N64's overuse of ugly dithering :)
Product was as advertised. The cable was packaged in a plastic tray inside of a carboard box.
Note that this cable is only meant to be connected to one console at a time. The fact that it can interface with multiple console types makes it a useful Swiss-army-knife style of cable that is good to have around.

Cheapest Best Quality S Video Cable for Retro SNES, N64, PS2, and original XBOXJun 10, 2014
By Trina Faccio
Wow. This cable has been a lifesaver. I can't believe I got it for under 5 dollars. I got this cable originally just for the ability to use it for SNES, N64 and gamecube (They all use same connection), but this cable has an added bonus of both PS2/XBOX 1 connections. I had my sights on getting a MONSTER gamecube cord (its purple), but they are hard to find and are so pricey ($60 average). I was willing to pay that much just for the upgrade in video quality for my retro systems, and it only had one connection for nintendo consoles, where as this has a PS2 and XBOX 1 connection.
There are other S Video cords out there that claim to give this kind of picture quality, but they are mostly junk. Just look at many of the reviews, a lot of cables with S video produce black lines, checkerboard patters, and all sorts of nasty game ruining video junk. Some cables have backwards wiring of pins, "the chroma and luma signals are not correct on these cables and it results in an annoying checkerboard pattern". Most of all the other cables on amazon had a review with this similar issue. So I was determined to save up for the MONSTER gamecube cord.
But then I found this cable. It had more stars than all of those other junk cords and I thought maybe this would be worth a try. It only cost me around 4 dollars so I figured I'd bite the bullet and get one based on the other reviews. And miraculously I discovered to my delight that THIS WAS THE ONE. The cord delivers beautifully on the promise of enhanced video quality with S Video. I hooked up my SNES and was floored by how crisp it looked on my Sony Trinitron.
BUY THIS CABLE if you want high quality video on your retro systems for cheap!

S-Video works great for gamecube (WITH PROOF!) not so great on n64 :(Oct 23, 2014
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RBLLQAT75X8GC FINALLY a working s-video gamecube cable!
the other ones I've tried all looked WORSE then the rca, and added weird checker boxing
Works great on my gamecube!
I use it with a rca/s-video upscaler, (upscaler not included)
so any video distortion would be EXTREMELY noticeable!
As shown in the video the gamecube gameplay looks noticeably sharper!
but n64 gameplay (not shown) with svideo there are rainbow colored vertical lines on the screen..
so I would not use the s-video for that.
since it's not advertised for n64 I will not take off any points for that
Only buy from 'amazon' or a seller with a high feedback rating
(I'd say 98%+)
it will cost a bit more, but it will make sure you do not get a cheap knock-off.
And if you order from amazon, and your s-video cable dose not look good,
you can just contact them, and they'll send you a working replacement.
Amazon compressed the video TO DEATH,
checkout a better version of this video here:
the video was recorded with my phone, I also have a MUCH BETTER video recorded with a Capture card,
with a split screen comparison between the s-video and composite cables!

This product worked great and it worked with all three popular systems which allowed me to switch from one to another without having to purchase different cables. I would reccomend this product
